Charming farmhouse atmosphere and breathtaking local scenery.
Our stay had moments of discomfort due to the shared living arrangements. Communication with the host Sæmi was challenging at times, as we struggled to understand each other. The social dynamics with other guests were awkward. some were rude and dismissive of Sæmi, making conversations feel strained.

Staying at Guesthouse Gamli Baer was a highlight of my trip. Saemi, our host, greeted us with delicious homemade waffles upon arrival and continued to impress us with hearty meals throughout our stay. The warmth of the farmhouse added to the welcoming atmosphere. The old-world charm of the building, dating back over 100 years, enriched the experience. The shared dining area encouraged great conversations, and the hiking trails nearby offered stunning views and adventures. However, the stairway to the second floor might be challenging for those with mobility issues, as it combines steep steps and unique twists. This distinctive feature, while fascinating, may not be suitable for everyone. I would also suggest clearer signage for the hiking trails from the guesthouse to make navigation easier. Overall, the charm and hospitality made our stay memorable, even if a few details could enhance the experience further.
